Income Protection

This replaces a substantial part of your income if you are unable to work for a long period because of illness or disability, so it could be used in part to meet your mortgage requirements. Income Protection continues to pay out until you recover or reach retirement, whichever is sooner.  This is the right cover for you if the cover clearly applies to you, for example if you are in good health, but if you have other sources of income in the event of an illness, for example if you have a policy through work/your employer,  you may feel you have adequate cover.
